In today's life, problems like depression and mental stress are serious
The world's population is more than 800 crores and today's era is also called the era of facilities. Today people have access to facilities but still there is some dilemma which is troubling people. Today the world is running very fast. Perhaps without a destination, where to go, how and when to go is not decided and in the middle of this, a disease stands.

In today's fast-paced world, mental problems are rapidly making people their victims. This problem is much more complex in teenagers. Surprisingly, problems like anxiety, depression and mental stress are taking a serious form in children and teenagers. In this regard, the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund have revealed in their new report that every seventh child between 10 and 19 years of age in the world is struggling with mental problems. These problems include depression, anxiety and behavior problems. In such a situation, the report advocates preparing a model keeping the community in mind to improve the mental health of children. According to an estimate, about 1 third of the problems related to mental health start before the age of 14, while half of them start appearing before the age of 18. It is clear that the symptoms of mental health problems start appearing to a large extent in adolescence.
Mental Health of Children and Young People Report
A report titled Mental Health of Children and Young People has been released just before World Mental Health Day. Its goal is to improve the existing mental problems for children. The report also highlights that it is very important to take action in time. So that children and youth are able to fully develop their abilities. However, immediate help is needed to deal with the challenges related to mental health. Despite this, a large population is still out of reach of these services. Even today, most of the youth struggling with mental problems are not able to get adequate help. Because their access to health care services is limited. Factors such as limited availability, expensive services and fear of criticism in seeking help are responsible for this. Not only this, lack of public funding and staff for mental health services is also a big problem. On top of that, there is a particular lack of such help for children and adolescents. The situation is much worse especially in low and middle income countries. Increasing depression among Indian children and adolescents is also becoming a big problem.

In Delhi too, a study conducted by the Center for Community Medicine and Psychiatry Department of AIIMS has revealed that about one-third of the adolescents living in Delhi were struggling with depression or tension at some point in their life. According to the Mental Health Department of the World Health Organization, we need to ensure that appropriate mental health support is available to people at every age at an affordable rate.
The report also emphasizes that everyone will have to make joint efforts to support the mental health of children and adolescents. There is no one ideal way for this. But such examples have come to light in many countries of the world. Measures from which can be adopted. The report also draws attention to the fact that millions of children suffering from mental problems are kept separately in institutions, even though they have families. United Nations experts believe that some methods violate human rights. Also, these lead to poor results in the health and social sector. In such a situation, according to the report, this model of institutional care needs to be phased out. Also, support of community-based services is very important. This way children can stay with their families. They can continue their education. They can make friends. This will improve their social relations. It will also help in their overall development.
According to UNICEF's health department
According to the health department at UNICEF, we cannot address the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents and their families alone. In such a situation, we need to create a strong network of mental health services for youth. For which there is a need to connect health education, social security and community based system. In any society, children are called the future. In such a situation, all these reports make it clear that it is important to overcome mental problems. This is not a difficult task either. All that is needed is for everyone to work together and give children the freedom to live without pressure.
In the last few years, news of heart attacks in youth has been coming to the fore continuously. The reason behind this is being told that due to a lot of pressure at the workplace, young people are becoming victims of heart attack. Those who are working, spend 10 to 12 hours at the workplace. But every person's workplace is different. If a person's workplace is full of stress. Then it has a direct impact on his mental health. Due to the bad environment at the workplace, both the mind and the body travel. If a person feels stressed all day due to work, then due to this he may have to face many physical problems. Often people who are working, they struggle with many mental problems like depression, stress or anxiety. The biggest reason for this is that they are not able to manage their work effectively and due to this the work is not completed on time. This is why the pressure of work is so high that it further takes the form of depression and it affects both your mental and physical health.
Nowadays, stress is increasing among the youth working in big companies. This happens because people come under stress and pressure even after achieving success. Then they become mentally ill. Actually, when we work very hard to achieve a goal, many expectations arise in our mind. Even after getting success, we often think that we have to achieve a lot more. This pressure can disturb us mentally. Many times people get away from others after getting success. They feel that now they do not need anyone. Even after getting success, many challenges keep coming in life. We should always be ready to face these challenges.
Today is the era of competition. Especially in the corporate world, everyone is in competition to get ahead of each other. In this race, employees keep working day and night, but in this race they are losing their health. Actually, many companies are putting excessive workload on employees for their profit. This is a serious issue which not only affects the physical and mental health of the employees. But also hampers the long-term growth of companies. Many times pressure is put on employees to produce more and more. Due to increasing competition, companies take more work from employees to get ahead of their competitors and to reduce costs, they reduce the number of employees and put more workload on the remaining employees. Some companies do not hesitate to exploit employees. Employees often have to work more than the prescribed time. There is always pressure on them to achieve high targets. Night duty and working on weekends have now become common. It is becoming difficult for employees to balance work as well as personal life. Due to excessive work, employees are able to spend less time with their families. They are not able to participate in social activities. Due to which their social circle is getting limited. Due to excessive burden and pressure, employees develop many mental health problems like anxiety, depression and insomnia, obesity and many physical health problems related to digestion.
The thing to understand is that a tired and stressed employee can never perform well. Due to excessive workload, the efficiency of employees decreases. Many employees are unable to bear this pressure and leave the job. When employees leave the job, the company also suffers. Because it has to find new employees, train them and then employ them. Training new employees costs time and money. This affects the work of the company and reduces its productivity. Employees should be given work in such a way that they can balance their work and personal life in a better way.
Companies can organize stress management programs. So that employees can learn ways to reduce stress. Companies should also provide psychological support to employees. It should also focus on the welfare of employees along with its work and benefits. Time should be fixed for employees for yoga, meditation, exercise or walking. Providing gym facilities is also a good option. Employees can be made aware about their health by getting regular health checkups done. Working continuously for a long time has a bad effect on health. Therefore, companies should encourage employees to maintain a balanced work hours and give them breaks from time to time.
A positive and supportive environment is very important for employees at the workplace. This boosts the morale of employees and makes them happier. If they are appreciated for their good work, it motivates them. As far as possible, employees should be given flexible work options like working from home or customized work timings.
Companies should provide health insurance facilities to their employees. They can organize awareness programs on health topics. Companies should regularly conduct employee satisfaction surveys to understand the needs and problems of employees. Paying attention to the physical and mental health of employees is not only a social responsibility but it is also beneficial for the company. Healthy employees work more, fall sick less often and are more loyal to the company.
Employees should stay positive. They should always try to learn something new. They should take out time for their hobbies. This will reduce stress. New experiences and hobbies promote creativity. Employees should also ensure that along with work, they spend some time with friends and family. Spending time with friends and family strengthens relationships. They should travel from time to time. This will give them a new energy to work. If they are facing any mental problem, they should consult a psychologist. They should take regular breaks during work.
A healthy work environment is also important for working. Where employees can communicate freely with their colleagues. Work pressure is high in the corporate world but this does not mean that a person has to lose his health by being burdened with work. One can take care of his health by changing the working methods and routine. It should be remembered that health is the greatest wealth for a human being. Life is not just work but it is also a time to celebrate, have new experiences and discover oneself. If employees are facing any problem, they should seek help from their manager or the HR department. A healthy employee is more productive and creative for the company. Therefore, everyone has to find a solution to this problem together. This is a serious issue that needs attention.
