Primary Causes of Asthma

If seen, asthma mostly runs in families, that is, if someone's grandparents or parents or uncles and aunts have asthma, then there is a high possibility that it will also happen to the children in the family. . We call this genetic susceptibility. The second thing is the environment, like dust from AC in the house, dust from blankets, pets etc. then it can be a trigger. If someone in the family has asthma and they get an environmental trigger, they have a chance of developing asthma.

One is chronic asthma in which the patient is suffering from asthma but if it is not treated then the asthma starts increasing. When some people start smoking, asthma also increases due to that. Asthma also increases due to weight gain. Asthma also increases due to change in weather. The main reason for asthma is genetic susceptibility and the other is a trigger from the environment.

What is the difference between allergy and asthma?

Asthma occurs in most of the cases, if we say that in 70 to 80 percent of the cases it is allergic asthma and there is also non-allergic asthma. Allergic asthma usually has early onset, meaning it can start in children or at the age of 17-18 to 20-22 years, the problem of asthma that starts in these people is mostly allergic. Due to which the patient may experience sneezing, itching in the eyes, skin rash, all this can be due to allergic asthma. But non-allergic asthma starts after the age of 40-50 years. Especially those women who are slightly overweight, as the age increases, the weight also starts increasing. When asthma starts after the age of 50, we call it late onset asthma. In most cases, this happens without any allergy.

Precautions and Diagnosis

The biggest thing is that there is lack of awareness among the people. People go to the doctor only when there is a trigger for asthma, as we know that there is a genetic tendency for asthma. If asthma is running in someone's family, then it can be predicted in advance that some other member of the family is likely to suffer from this problem, be it children or adults. Usually people go to the doctor due to cough or breathlessness. Doctors evaluate whether it is a simple cough or there is an allergy behind it. If there is allergy then allergy test is done. There are some blood tests and some patch tests. So that it can be found out due to which he is facing this problem and he is made aware of the reasons due to which he is facing this problem. Treatment is done accordingly. Asthma is a disease which can be treated. Inhalers are mostly given in its treatment.
