After the death of Ratan Tata, Noel Tata has been given the responsibility of Tata Group. In the trust meeting in Mumbai, consensus was reached on Noel's name. After this, Tata Trust said in an official statement that his appointment will be implemented with immediate effect. Noel Tata has been associated with Tata Group for 40 years. Noel has a role in all the new feats, like West Side, Trent, Tanishq, Titan, Fasttrack, all these are Tata brands. Noyel Tata is also the chairman of Tata International and Tata Steel which are legacy companies. Noyel studied from University of Sussex and started his career from Tata International. He became the managing director of Trent in 1999. This company was started by his mother Simone Denoir.
Before moving ahead, let us explain the family tree to you. Ratan Tata's father Naval Tata married twice. He had two children Ratan and Jimmy from his first wife Sumi Commissariat. Who is Ratan? Ratan Tata who died recently. Around 1945, Naval and Sumi both separated. Later, Naval got married for the second time to Simone Denoir. This time, they had a son, whose name is Noyel Tata, i.e. Noyel is Ratan's step brother. Both Ratan and Jimmy did not marry. Jimmy stayed away from business and glamour.

In 2018, he was made the vice chairman of Titan and in 2017, he was included in the board of the trust.
